About NAFA

The National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) is a non-profit trade association that brings together air filter and component manufacturers, sales and service companies, and HVAC and indoor air quality companies. While national implies membership is limited to the United States, NAFA’s membership is global, with members in Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, India, Iran, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.

NAFA’s mission is “To be The Global Source for Expertise, Education and Best Practices in Air Filtration.”  NAFA strives for this goal by sourcing the best minds in air filtration to create substantial and influential education for the industry.

NAFA’s programs include professional individual certification programs, publications, best practices, webinars, in-person events and training. The pinnacle of the association’s efforts is the Clean Air Award Program, which recognizes a facility’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy indoor environment through effective air filtration.

NAFA Members and Certified individuals abide by the NAFA Code of Ethics, which reflects the membership’s commitment to conduct business to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

The Association is operationalizing its three-year Strategic Framework for 2022-2025, overseen by the NAFA Board of Directors.

The framework will empower the association to lead the industry in air filtration, indoor air quality and education about clean air. It is a guide to operationalizing our mission.
