The Client Retention Matrix: 10 Keys to Keeping and Growing Clients
Chris Jennings, President/CEO, Sales Coaching Inc.

The hard work of winning new business is often wasted due to the miscommunication of the project and/or unmet expectations of your new client. Studies show that a 5% increase in client retention can lead to a 25%-95% increase in NET PROFIT.
Hear how Chris Jennings has developed a systematic approach to keeping your clients longer, with increased margins that lead to long term client partnerships and winning new client introductions. His simple format for success includes a blueprint any company can follow to truly deliver and exceed client expectations. You will create “The Client Retention Matrix” specifically as it applies to their company.

Many companies waste thousands of dollars marketing to new prospects who have never heard of them, leaving them disappointed by lower sales, low conversion rates on the minimal number of leads generated. Unfortunately, you and your sales people are probably walking right by the highest paying, easiest to close pieces of business.
Create a client-focused culture within your organization

• Maximize the profit and length of every client engagement
• Overcome the awkwardness of asking for loyalty, better margins & referrals
• Learn several examples of what to say and what not to say
• Create a process that is easy to implement, including how and where to ask for introductions.
• Discover a comfortable process to develop a steady stream of new clients

Indoor Aerosol Dynamics in Residential Buildings (Mandalay)

Brandon Boor, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering, Purdue University

3:30 – 4:15 pm

Airborne particulate matter, or aerosols, represent a fascinating mixture of tiny, suspended liquid and solid particles that can span in size from a single nanometer to tens of micrometers.  Human exposure to aerosols of indoor and outdoor origin is responsible for adverse health effects, including mortality and morbidity due to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.  The majority of our respiratory encounters with aerosols occurs indoors, where we spend 80-90% of our time and inhale more than 10,000 L of air every day.  This presentation will provide an overview of indoor aerosol source and loss processes in residential buildings.  Two recent studies will be highlighted: (1.) nanoaerosol (< 100 nm in size) dynamics in an occupied net-zero energy residence – the Purdue Retrofit Net-zero: Energy, Water, and Waste (ReNEWW) House and (2.) human-driven resuspension of biological particulate matter (bacteria, fungi, allergens) from carpets.

Changes in Indoor Air Quality Caused by Corona Discharge Air Cleaner (Mandalay)

Todd Crawford, Research Scientist, Bureau of Toxic Substance Assessment

4:15 – 5:00 pm

Corona discharge often is a proposed air cleaning technology to remove airborne contaminants.   corona discharge in air ionizes oxygen and generates an electrostatic field.  For “air cleaning” the system would produce carbon dioxide and water but in practice, corona discharge transforms airborne contaminants into myriad products that are not well-characterized for their chemical identities, yields or toxicities. We designed a study to evaluate the changes in indoor quality caused by a corona discharge air cleaner installed in a classroom ventilation unit.

MERV 8 v MERV 13 Analysis and Q&A on PM Monitoring Data During Wildfire (Mandalay)

Wanyu Rengie Chan, Ph.D., Research Scientist, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

10:00 – 10:45 am

Two California K-12 schools were monitored for indoor air quality during three one-week periods in 2017-2018. Measurements included PM2.5, black carbon, and other air pollutants of concern (ozone, formaldehyde, and CO2). All 13 of the studied classrooms are portable structures and have wall-mount HVAC systems (Bard). Half of the classrooms used MERV 8 air filters (2” Airguard DP Pleat), and other half of the classrooms used MERV 13 air filters (2” Airguard DP-G13EEN). Results show clear differences in indoor PM2.5 concentrations comparing between classrooms that have MERV 8 and MERV 13 air filters. Indoor PM2.5 concentrations were about one-half to two-third lower in classrooms with higher efficiency air filters. However, the comparison in black carbon concentration between classrooms with MERV 8 and MERV 13 air filters was less conclusive. In addition to PM2.5 and black carbon concentrations that were measured using research-grade monitors, this presentation will also show results collected using consumer-grade sensors (Plantower). Sensor data were collected continuously, and captured periods of high outdoor PM, including impacts from wildfires.
